CableLabelMaker is built to work without an account. We collect as little as possible.

Files and inputs you use in the tool

Your inputs and files are processed in your browser. We do not store them.

Raw CSV, TSV, XLSX and .cablelabel.json files, their filenames and worksheet contents are never sent to our server. Free PDF, SVG, PNG, CSV, XLSX, JSON and ZPL files are generated in your browser. The workbench does not automatically save schedules in localStorage, IndexedDB, a database or cloud storage. Save a local project file explicitly if you want to reopen your work.

Installer production packages

Complete installer packages require a server access check and in-memory file generation. Sending edited label data, contractor names or project fields to that service is paused pending the operator's data-handling approval. Only values matching our public fictional examples may be sent to validate the service, including their reimported sample files and the generator’s default example sequence. Physical print settings may be adjusted. Unknown fields and file metadata are excluded from these requests; changing a label, note, company or project value to custom text keeps that job local. If this boundary is approved, the requested package will receive only necessary parsed result fields through this site's /api/tool routes, with no-store responses, no disk or database storage, no body or identifier logging and no forwarding to another provider. Raw input files remain in the browser.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe, which receives your payment details and email address. We receive a payment confirmation and an anonymous customer reference. We never see your card number.

What we store

To remember what you paid for, we store an anonymous access record (plan, status, expiry or remaining uses) and a one-way keyed hash of the email address you paid with, so you can sign in on another device. We cannot turn that hash back into your email address. Sign-in emails are sent through our email provider. A single strictly necessary cookie keeps you signed in on this browser.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It counts page views and a few anonymous events such as starting the tool.

Tool events use the fixed names tool_started, tool_completed and pro_previewed. They contain no cable rows, filenames, room names, project names or contractor details. The managed billing flow handles checkout_started and payment confirmation. Payment/session metadata is separate from your cable schedule.
